The 118 Is in for a World of Pain in New '9-1-1' Season 7 Finale Images (2024)

9-1-1 is no stranger to pain and loss — it's the show's whole premise. But when the main characters' lives are on the line, it feels deeply meta. The promo for 9-1-1 Season 7, Episode 10, "All For Down," teased the worst as Bobby's life is on the line following the house fire. New images of the upcoming episode tease a continuation of the sadness that dominated the teaser as the 118 waits with bated breath for Bobby's fate while other hanging arcs take a different direction. The finale will not leave anything unaddressed, from Hen and Karen's family issues to Eddie and Christopher's shocker.

The images tease an escalation of Bobby's situation as the rest of the team waits to see if he pulls through. The circ*mstances behind the fire were peculiar, and Athena will investigate to see if there was any foul play. She appears with Dr. Amir again, begging the question about his innocence. The show has made a point of making him seem like he holds a grudge against Bobby, and one may think he is the prime suspect. Elsewhere in the hospital, LA Fire Brass is involved with the situation when Chief Simpson shows up bearing some information. It's unclear what he's communicating to the team — it might be some update on Bobby's case or the firehouse.

Eddie Deals With the Fallout From His Secret in the '9-1-1' Season 7 Finale

Christopher could never have expected to find his dead mother locked in an embrace with his father. Given how much loss and grief Chris has had to deal with of late, seeing Eddie with someone who looks like his late mother is quite shocking. So shocking, in fact, that the images tease Christopher leaving his dad. Eddie's parents arrive from Texas and, in one image, can be seen reacting to something on the phone. Their reaction is pure shock, which would be understandable if they've seen the image of Eddie's new girlfriend. In the wake of whatever Chris decides to do, Eddie leans on his friend Buck for support, and Buck can be seen trying to console his distraught friend. Guzman had teased some big changes for Eddie in the season finale while talking to TV Insider, saying:

“There are some bombshells coming. There are some massive events coming for Eddie. And as far as we know, Eddie has always kind of had somebody to run to. He might not have anybody to run to anymore for Season 8. Yeah, there are things that are going to be happening in Eddie’s life that are going to leave him feeling isolated. Season 8 is going to be almost like a refresh button for Eddie, starting into this new lifestyle of his and how to navigate uncharted waters. I think what I hope for Eddie is a greater sense of depth and an opportunity to finally let go of his past so that a new future can enter.”

The looks of concern and shock continue with Hen. The episode finds her engaged in a fierce custody battle with Congresswoman Ortiz, and she too leans on her friend, Chimney. Even if they're few and far between, happy scenes are teased in the episode as Hen, Chimney, and Maddie are seen smiling. Buck and Tommy also have a do-over of their first date and are seen enjoying each other's company, but is that the calm before the storm hits?
