What is the Iowa State OneApp? ›

With Iowa State OneApp scholarship portal, undergraduate students can submit scholarship applications in one system. The Office of Student Financial Aid, academic colleges and departments, and other campus units will use the information available in OneApp to select scholarship recipients.

You can apply through the University of Iowa application or the Common Application (fall session only).

Iowa Resident National Merit Full Tuition Scholarship

Iowa residents who are named National Merit Scholars by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will qualify for a full tuition scholarship available for four years (eight semesters) of undergraduate coursework at Iowa State University.

Does Iowa state waive out of state tuition? ›

Iowa residency is not granted, but a waiver of nonresident tuition and fees is in effect. When the graduate assistantship ends, the tuition and fee waiver for the spouse is terminated.

The Last-Dollar Scholarship is available to: Students who recently completed an Iowa high school diploma, a homeschool program, or high school equivalency diploma, OR students (age 20 and older) Enroll at least part-time in an eligible program of study.

Image. In addition to the FAFSA, some Iowa grants and scholarships also require you to complete the Iowa Financial Aid Application (IFAA). When you finish the FAFSA, you'll see a prompt asking if you want to complete the Iowa Financial Aid application as well.
