Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Inpatient Flexi, Day Shift, Registered Dietitian Certified Specialty to work in Clinical Nutrition.
Responsible for managing patient's medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards for high risk patients. Serves as a resource for nutrition education.
Job Requirements:
- Board Certified Specialist in one of the recognized ADA/NATCO/NBNSC specialty certifications: Cert Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC), Renal Nutrition (CSR); Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition (CSP); Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG); Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) and Certified Clinical Transplant Dietitian (CCTD).
- Registered Dietician (RD) Certifications (Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- 2 years Dietitian experience
- Bachelor’s Level Degree in Dietetics (If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics).
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
