The Florida Division of Emergency Management is offering 2,000 doses of theCOVID-19 vaccinethis week for adults age 50 and olderin Pensacola.
Doses of the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will be administered over a span of three days at Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, 201 W. Leonard St. in Pensacola.
Residents 50 and older can walk in without an appointment from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Appointments can be scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday at myvaccine.fl.gov.

About 2,000 spots are available, according to a news release from the county.
Those receiving a shot will need to present a photo ID. After receiving the shot, residents should be prepared to wait for up to 15 minutes before leaving the facility so they can be monitored for any possible reactions.
Community Health hosting vaccine clinics in Pensacola and Navarre
Community Health Northwest Florida will hold four COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Pensacola this week, all at the Brownsville Community Center at 3200 W. De Soto St.
All are for the Moderna vaccine. Appointments are required for all but one of the clinics. Call the Community Health COVID-19 Vaccine Call Center at 850-439-3358 to schedule appointments.
The clinic Tuesday is the only one this week that will accept walk-ins. That clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Appointments are required for the following three clinics:
- 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday
- 1 to 5 p.m. Friday
- 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Additionally, Community Health on Thursday will offer the Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine at a clinic in Navarre. That clinic is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Navarre YMCA, 2379 Pawnee Drive. Appointments are required.
All clinics are open to Florida residents who qualify to receive the vaccine, including people 50 and older, those deemed "medically vulnerable," K-12 school employees and daycare workers of all ages, staff and residents of long-term care facilities and health care staff with direct patient contact
Adults 18 and older deemed medically vulnerable by a physician can have their doctor fill out a state of Florida "COVID Vulnerability Determination" form, bring a doctor's note or prescription stating the condition that qualifies them or bring a current prescription bottleof the medication that treats the pre-existing condition.
All participants will be required to show photo ID and proof of eligibility.
Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have had symptoms of illness (fever, cough, shortness of breath) in the last 14 days should not receive the vaccine.
Ascension offers appointment-only clinics in Pensacola and Milton
Also this week, Ascension Medical Group Sacred Heart will hold clinics in Milton and Pensacolato administer thevaccine to eligible residents, including people who are 50 and older.
The Pensacola clinics will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Tuesday and Thursday at Olive Baptist Church,1836 E. Olive Road.
The Milton clinic will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.Wednesday and Thursday at the former Bealls store at 6209 U.S. 90 in the Parkmore Plaza.
Appointments are required for all clinics. They can be made by sending an email to covid19vaccinesupport@ascension.org. Include your name, date of birth and whether you prefer the Pensacola or Milton location to get your first dose of vaccine.
The latest order from Gov. Ron DeSantis expanded vaccineeligibility to people 50 and older starting Monday. Also eligible are K-12 school district employees, frontline health care workers, staff and residents of long-term care facility and adults withunderlying medical conditions that place them at high risk for getting severely ill from COVID-19.
Santa Rosa County DOH holding clinics all week
The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County will be administering COVID-19 vaccinations all next week at a series of clinics.
All vaccinations will take place at thecounty's vaccination station at the former Bealls department store at 6209 U.S. 90 in Milton.
Clinics are forresidents who are eligible for the vaccine under the latest order, which expanded to include people 50 and older.
Here's the schedule for the upcoming week:
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday:Walk-ins from 9 a.m. to noon, appointments only from 1 to3 p.m.
- Tuesday: Appointments only from 9 a.m. to3 p.m.
Residents can register for appointments by calling ShareCare at 866-201-7110 or visiting myvaccine.fl.gov. The TTY number for the deaf and hard of hearing is 833-476-1035.
Vaccine appointments available in Jay
Baptist Health Care has vaccine appointments available in the Jay community this week while supplies last.
Vaccinations will be given by appointment only to those who meet Florida eligibility criteria. People who are in one of the allowable workforce groups must present an ID badge or proof of employment at the appointment.
Appointments can be made at EasySchedule.com. Click “procedure appointment” and complete the registration.

People under the age of 50 who are medically vulnerable can receive the vaccine with completion of the state's "COVID-19 Determination of Extreme Vulnerability" form. The form must be completed and signed by a person's physician and brought to the vaccination appointment.
